About the event

In 2022, the Irish Men’s Volleyball Squad participated in the CEV tournament in Rome, which was organised by the Italian FIPAV Lazio commission under the European Volleyball Confederation. The competition was intense and brought out the best in all teams, including the reigning champions Italy, Ireland, Israel, and Portugal.

Role of Sport Narrative in the U22 CEV 2022 event.

This event was a significant factor in inspiring the establishment of Sport Narrative. We took on the responsibility of driving a social media publicity campaign for the Irish Squads leading up to the main U22 CEV tournament. Our multi-platform approach, which included Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, was a huge success, with one of our videos reaching one million views and a quarter of a million likes. This social media campaign was crucial in seeking crowdfunding and heating up the interest of supporters. Over two months, we consistently posted short-form video content and engaging posts to turn followers into fans.

When the Irish squads arrived in Rome to participate in the competition, Sport Narrative covered the events with photos, videos, posts, and stories to keep fans engaged and up-to-date on any events.
